Abstract
In order to improve the adaptability and cutting power of roadheader,the cutting characteristics of current longitudinal roadheader and the problems of cutting unit were analyzed. A new hybrid power-train system of the roadheader cutting unit was put forward based on the torque coupling between hydraulic power from walking unit and cutting motor. After matching the parameters of the new cutting unit,the dynamic models of related components were established and the work modes on different conditions were analyzed. The adaptability and buffer characteristic of the new roadheader under shock were simulated using software. It demonstrated that the new transmission system adapted the variable load efficiently and the cutting motor worked around constant power points. Benefited by the hydraulic system,there was a distinct buffer effect under variable working condition. The results can provide a referential foundation for the new design of mining equipment.
